I don't LOVE this album or anything, but it's a decent listen. I respect the fact that it tries to be a bit more inventive than the usual teen pop record, and some of the results are pleasantly surprising. Ironically, I really dislike the main single so would have never sought this out if not for a random youtube link.

Anyway, it looks like she is going to become the next superstar of pop music with the hype and Grammy noms so we should have a thread about her.
 
Gratuitous bumping of old thread to piss off the hipsters. I freaking love Lorde. Easily my current favorite young female pop artist. Although I do wish that "Team" had been her big hit single, it's way better than "Royals".

Why would anyone be 'pissed off' by the fact you bumped a thread to talk about the topic.
 
Months-too-late necro-bumping is generally frowned upon, yes? Especially for something as frivolous and combative as "hey, you know this pop singer that everyone here seems to hate? Well FUCK YOU, I LUV HER."
 
...except I don't know how you can gather that 'everyone' here hates her when there were two posts in the thread before you bumped it, both consisting of mild praise.
 
I enjoyed her banter on the youtube show Hot Ones. She seemed like a cool person.
 
Her skull is weird but she's fine by me.
